With 20/21 – Ceramics for a new decade experienced food and tableware designer Vera Wiedermann gains a foothold in studio and object ceramics. The project reflects the identity of the artist and the local ceramic scene. It takes into account the strong demand in society for ceramic objects from local manufacturers. It enables her to create objects that meet innovative study on ceramic product invention identifiable with cultural heritage and provides information for the artist´s expansion in the ceramic field.
The project refers to the cultural and culinary heritage of the region and provides valuable insights. In addition, the learning process, improved skills and personal expression, creativity and material ability to experiment continuously sharpen. Based on the knowledge gained in 20/21, the results provide guidelines for research, application and development of locally produced consumer goods and the catering industry.
